Northcom is a Norwegian company group that serves as a leading supplier and system integrator of critical communications across the Nordic region. In 2020, we consolidated our local entities in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland under the unified Northcom brand, boasting over 70 years of experience in the communication sector.
Leading supplier and system integrator of critical communications
As the premier Nordic system integrator in critical communication, we have evolved from provider of analogue radio communications to become a prominent supplier of cutting-edge solutions across various industries.
We are the market leader in critical communication for emergency services in the Nordics and specialize in developing integrated infrastructure solutions for both government and industrial clients, utilizing technologies such as TETRA, MCX, DMR, IP/LTE, and others. Furthermore, we have successfully established a significant presence in wireless communication through 4G/5G networks, SD-WAN, and mobile routers
Complete value stack from infrastructure to operational systems
Our services have expanded through strategic acquisitions of software companies, including LS Elektronik and Portalify. LS Elektronik’s Mimer Softradio integrates multiple radio systems into one operator console and enables remote control of radios, facilitating autonomous control of unmanned ships. Portalify brings cutting-edge expertise in creating applications for both TETRA and the next generation of Android applications for critical communication.
Northcom is dedicated to offering a comprehensive value stack, covering deep technology expertise, solution design, consulting services, training, support and service, customer-specific software projects, field service, assembly, installation, and software platforms such as Command Control and MCX solutions.
The key to efficiency is good service, support and accessories
A key aspect of our commitment is to public protection and disaster relief (PPDR). We provide emergency networks in the Nordic countries with reliable technology, focusing on the blue light sector to meet unique requirements for managing challenges in disaster and crisis situations. Our Karlstad service center, one of three Sepura Service Centers globally, performs 99.9% of all jobs on-site, ensuring efficient component servicing without the need for swap-outs.
The Northcom Operation Center (NOC) serves as our hub, offering competent support to proactively and reactively monitor and manage critical communication systems. NOC plays a crucial role in preventing downtime and identifying issues before they impact our customers’ communication platforms. Our range of managed services includes NOC, MDM, and IP radio subscriptions, along with product-related services such as configuration, programming, and maintenance.
Highest standards is a minimum requirement for success today, together with new technologies at the forefront
Our dedication to long-term customer relationships and proximity to our clients provide insights that enable us to tailor solutions for the end-users, society’s everyday heroes, ensuring they can perform their tasks as efficiently as possible. ProEquip, our range of accessories, is a testament to this commitment.
Northcom maintains the highest standards in systems, people, and processes, proudly holding four ISO certifications (9001, 14001, 27001, and 45001). These certifications reflect our commitment to quality, environmental responsibility, secure management of information and customer data, and the well-being of our staff.
As we actively invest in technology and collaborations, Northcom continues to be the foremost player in critical communications, both within the Nordic region and internationally. Our combination of technical expertise, industry knowledge, and a history of strategic acquisitions positions us as a reliable partner for all critical communication needs.
